Dual Booting Vista With XP, A Good Reason For It!

Massively late post because Vista was being a pain. Basically Vista decided to come up with a data execution prevention on explorer.exe. Yes, that’s right it’s own process. Not only is it it’s own process, but it runs the start bar and explorer windows. So it decided it needed to restart, so I let it.
Well it did restart and somehow the DEP wiped Vista’s bootloader. So I got pis*ed with it and decided to put XP back on and maybe do a dual boot later, only to find out that XP won’t install on this machine. Since I have had this new machine it has always had Vista on so I’ve never tried XP. Turns out it just can’t install the bootloader for XP onto the drive. I asked the local computer shop and they said that this problem had cropped up on some of the new dual & quad core machines (mine being a quad core).
